Arrival
Hi everyone. First I would like to apologize for the misunderstandings over the last few weeks, and also I want to tell you that we have arrived in New Jersey safe and sound.
We were very busy prior to leaving South Carolina and therefore were unable to post any updates, or a float plan. Additionally we were not in cell range until we put into Hattaras and by then the craziness had already ensued.
I will be out of town on business for the next few days, however when I return I will post the entries that I have on paper and jotted down in route, mostly just notes right now, and I will try to retell the entire story as I see it. I have no doubts or delusions that once the story is told from myself and the other members of the crew that there will be some discrepancies and contradictions. I only ask that you all understand that for some this was a very trying adventure, and that the worst witness is an eye witness. However if you will bear with us I am sure that the story will find its own way.
I know that Aaron and Lisa are planning to each tell their own stories, and I will see if I can get my brother Roy to post something as well.
Perhaps this is a bit premature, however I want to ensure all of you first and foremost that no crew member was injured, that no sickness was worse than seasickness, and that at no time was the crew nor the boat in any great peril. I would like to clarify this by saying that there is a fine line when one is at sea between no great peril, and a life threatening situation. I am only saying here that at no time did the situation degrade to the point of life threatening. I do not mean to belittle any memory or feeling of the other crew members, none of which had any prior experience at sea. This meaning that to one person a little squall can be another persons personal typhoon.
Never the less I digress.
Again thank you all for your support. I am looking forward to posting my story and to reading the stories of the other crew. I am also looking forward to going through this blog to see what all of you went through while we were out of contact with terra firma.
Sitting snugly in New Jersey,
Jason

Hi, JD, Glad to hear that
Hi, JD,
Glad to hear that you, crew, and ship are snug in New Jersey. I bear the resposibility for pushing the panic button first. I know how capable you guys are but by Thursday I had to have some news, and there we went...
Good to hear from you,
Jeanette
